This reminds me of the Marriott hotels of long ago. I was treated as a loyal Marriott member and it was truly appreciated. I could find nothing to complain about for this hotel. Great spots to eat all around, mall within walking distance, and great location if your visiting the Woodlands. Lobby was nice and check-in was a breeze. To get the best view, of course a higher floor is needed like normal. This post is a bit late but I figure nothing has changed other than maybe house keeping. Most Marriotts are cleaning daily unlike Hiltons I visited recently (by request only). The Waterway Marriott is such a pristine and accommodating hotel! The overnight staff were so kind and helpful. The amenities are abundant; I enjoyed the treadmills in the gym area a lot. The single king bed rooms are SO pretty and the halls were nice and quiet through the night (I had arrived pretty late and was thoroughly pleased with this aspect). One really awesome stand-out point was that the front desk had fliers ready at check in with so much helpful information on it, including the times that hotel renovations could be heard. I highly recommend taking advantage of the mobile Marriott Bonvoy member benefits and choosing this hotel as a place to stay! My friend and I came here for the hotel stay here for a concert at the Woodlands Pavillion. No wonder it was not sold out like the "westin" or others far away. The hotel bed was like sleeping on the floor. There was blood stains on the sheets. The room was disgusting and broken balcony to open. The manager accused us of lying that their beds are new?! Come on now. They are under remodeling and had signs all over and I would rather stay at Palace Inn than this place with this management. The hotel had us waking up all morning with their fire drills. The charges for this hotel room should be luxury but even with half off, and the severe back pain this room caused me to spend on massages made this room the worst! Stay far away from this establishment. The hotel has disgusting perfume smell as well and employees are rude as well. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. As I communicated to you the bed was thoroughly inspected and checked by both myself and our Director Of Engineering. The brand is a Sealy posturpedic and is two years old. There are no defects with the bed and it is an upgraded Marriott brand standard product. I have received no other complaints on our beds since they have been replaced. With respect to the renovation, I am confused because we had scheduled to start the renovation on June 19th however, did not actually start until June June 23rd. A full nine days after your stay. I am glad we gave you half off your room as a gesture of compensation for your claims. I hope if your travels bring you back to the Woodlands, You give us another opportunity to earn your business and contact me directly to oversee your reservation and upgrade your room. All of our meetings were on the waterwalk floor and that was so convenient. The 3 meals at the convention were all delicious which is not always the case. You do have to park about a block away in the garage. The only downer was that there was only a shower no tub. My family experienced an unexpected personal emergency 24 hours before our scheduled 1 night stay. The hotel management was unwilling to provide any sort of understanding or empathy during an already difficult day. I have never experienced such poor customer service. If there is a chance that you may have an emergency don’t bother booking here. We came for the Woodlands Marathon, and the hotel was located right on the course, so it could not have been more convenient. The area is very pretty in the evening; white lights twinkle in all the trees that line the waterway, and good restaurants are just steps away. We asked for a quiet room on a high floor, and our stay was a lot less noisy than when we stayed here last year. We had a very comfortable king-sized bed, a nice sitting area, huge flat screen t.v., and pretty views. In the morning, we got coffee at their downstairs restaurant, and the service was warm and friendly. Check in and out was quick and easy. There's a beautiful park nearby right on the water where you can rent kayaks and swan boats. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would stay here again.… Date of stay: March 2022 Room Tip: Ask for a high floor with a view of the waterway. Other than the fact it is on the waterway, I can't think of anything good to say. I understood that you paid extra for parking but was somewhat shocked free Wi-fi was not available. The staff was not pleasant, nor efficient and on top of that we found the last occupants t-shirt and socks in the corner of the room!!! Anyway, terribly disappointed and embarrassed. Even with email to hotel management, and call to Marriott, I was billed for the one night. Last time my team uses this hotel. Marriott told me ultimately hotel makes the decision.. I find that hard to believe they would let them damage their brand.
