GXV 160 Show GXV 160 My thought there was a problem with the starter cord.......... speedy ........................Keep your blades sharp...................... I've got a few old B&S laying around. I'll check and see if I have one the same series. Do you think other series might fit if they are the same cc's? Where did you find the number on it? I have only got one of that series but it is on a good base with catcher that just needs a carby clean someday so that one is out. I do have several others from different series but don't know if they would be interchangeable. Good afternoon speedy. What is the Model, Type and Code on the cowling? Link to my engine manuals is:- Picture of my cowling and motor are shown below to assist.... Sorry, they uploaded upside down.... Hope these can assist. Environmentally friendly recycling at it's best Some other series fit, I will check on B&S website. The number is on the under side, but don't pull a good mower apart. There must be heaps of dead ones around. I will put an add on local gumtreee. ........................Keep your blades sharp...................... Not sure what the local tip is like in Bundy, but it may worth a quick visit. Environmentally friendly recycling at it's best Thanks Bushy speedy ........................Keep your blades sharp...................... that model no is 9T502, maybe obvious to the knowing... ........................Keep your blades sharp...................... Adding a 0 (zero) in front of a 5-digit Model Number is a thing you need to know with Briggs to make it a 6-digit number to search information on an engine....so, your search Model number is 09T502 with Make number 3152 (the first 4 digits) and you get your correct Parts Manual (link below) 09T502-3152-H1 .... :-) http://www.briggsandstratton.com/us/en/support/manuals/results?NTT=09T502-3152* Based on your motors Parts Manual, it's the same Flywheel as mine. Environmentally friendly recycling at it's best Hi Bushy, speedy ........................Keep your blades sharp...................... Hi Speedy, Bushie and Aussietrev, Thanks bigted, ........................Keep your blades sharp...................... Had an idea........... fixed it with a couple of steel straps and ss rivets..... ........................Keep your blades sharp...................... Speedy, glad it managed to cut the grass but you won't be able to get it tightened up on the taper and you are relying on the keyway to take the load, this can end up flogging the keyway slot in the crank. Keep looking for a replacement one, apart from the fact it could fly apart with fatigue I've got flywheels here on old dead mowers. I'll see if I can get one off intact. I am going to be in Bundaberg on the 4th of April and could bring it over if I do. Wow.... that's scary.... with the rpm of a lawn mower, I don't think I would be game to try that as a repair. I think aussietrevs offer is the better scenario, but at least you got the lawn down. :-) Environmentally friendly recycling at it's best "but at least you got the lawn down. :-)" And still have both your legs :-) Here is a flywheel from a 375 Sprint that I took off. It looks to be more substantial than the old one and doesn't have that big pair of holes near the edge that appear to have been the beginning of yours initial failure. $5 for my time and dropping it off in Bundaberg for you seems fair. PM me if you want it with address details. Will be in Bundie most of Monday morning on the 4th of April. You are one lucky muppet. Wile it did hold up, I have no idea how your still in one piece. You cannot keep using this flywheel it is far too dangerous. There was a thread sometime back where a member had a broken flywheel on a Victa twin and was well advised not to try repairing it and NOT TO USE IT. Please remove the flywheel and throw it to the scrappy. It can be made into 3 new engines for Kias. We don't want any of our members calling an ambulance because they cut the lawn.
