5.0 out of 5 stars Very heavy duty, great quality and easy to use

I will start by saying that this thing is a TANK, it is the heaviest car seat/booster/harness I have ever seen, and I have four installed in my car at the moment. If you have a compact car and more than two kids in a car seat, this will not be a great option since it aside from very heavy, it is huge. With that said, we absolutely love this unit. Sitting side by side with our Chico equivalent it is night and day (you can see it in the picture) and the older kids fight over who can sit on the Britax one.INSTALLATION: It was a breeze to install, their new clicking system works extremely well and tightens the unit without effort. Basically there is a button inside the bottom area of the backrest that allows the bottom section to come up (as seen in the pics), you then put your shoulder-lap regular seat belts (recommended by them over the included anchors) through it, pulling it tight, then as a last step you push the bottom section over it until it clicks in place, once you do that the unit grabs the seat belt so tight that you can't move the unit anywhere, finally you hook the back tether belt behind the seat and it is impressive on how tight the unit becomes.DAILY USE: This is where it shines, we have our 7 year old and our 4 year old (who seats in this new seat) in the third row, which is a bit troublesome to access without moving the second row. The unit is so easy to operate that we have thought our 7 year old to help his sister get buckled up , he is able to get her all hooked up by himself and all we have to do is check each time to make sure it is secure.FEATURES: The unit is covered with very comfortable memory foam all over which makes it very nice for the little ones, especially on long trips. We haven't yet to use the booster feature as our little girl is still too small, but in looking at the instructions it seems like a very simple conversation (basically removing the harness belts and readjusting how the lap-shoulder seat belts work with the unit.OVERALL: We feel as if this unit will do a tremendous job at keeping our kids very comfortable and most importantly very safe, it is our third child car seat of this brand, and it has not disappointed. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps you in your decision, in which case please do let me and others know by clicking on the “Helpful” button below and feel free to leave a comment below if you have any questions or would like to see additional pictures and I will do my best to answer it. Thank you, cheers. Cass

Installed in a 2014 Chevy Express 15 passenger. No issues (I had an issue with my Graco with a belt install).

The Click-tight is a DREAM! I had an issue pinching the release and lifting because I didn't quite understand, but once I figured it out, it was easy (if you're having issues, while pinching, lift the seat near the seam before the seat belt part).

The install was perfect on the first try. I connected the tether to the anchor and was done...until I realized I didn't raise the headrest enough.

With it installed, it was really hard to raise. So I disconnected quickly, fixed it, and reconnected with no budge (not rock-solid but less than an inch) in LITERALLY less than 3 minutes.

We chose this for the easy install because my MIL keeps my son and we couldn't justify spending this money for a spare. I foresee this working great!

Cons: it is really heavy. The instructions aren't clear for the Click-Tight which didn't just pull up when I pinched the release (I had to use my other hand). I also wasn't sure what was supposed to lift so I watched a video and solved that quickly.

The harness is kind of hard to tighten which I'm hoping will be easier as we use it due to maybe a stiff harness. However, I my husband's car seat had this same feeling and the harness ended up fraying. :-/ Hoping we don't have this issue.

Overall, I'd re-purchase this seat!

I've been using boulevard click tights for my twins in my car, our sitter's car and the grandparent's car for years and loved them--SUPER easy to use and to take in and out of every car we used them in (always a super snug fit to the seat, always easy to open and close to fit the seatbelt into the seat. So it made sense that I try this seat as my kids got bigger--especially since EASY install and removal is a really important feature for my family. Wow, did Britax drop the ball with this one--even my mother said, "Are you sure the same company made this seat?"--Instead of the easy click tight round button that twists that's on carseats for younger kids, that make it a total snap to open the seat to install it or remove it--now there's two mystery holes in the back of the seat, behind two layers of fabric that you have to pinch simultaneously in order to get the seat to open. Now, understand when I say this, I have purchased SIX seats--two for each car I mentioned above--of the six, three of them were excessively hard to open--where I'd have to click it shut (even though it was so shut I couldn't open it) to attempt to pinch the buttons again and eventually have it work--in some seats, this took just a couple tries, in others, it took MANY tries. The other seats worked more easily, but it definitely didn't feel as solid as the Boulevard carseats I had before. What made this especially frustrating is that the seat itself doesn't have as snug a fit to the seat of the car as the other britax models I've had. And to get the snuggest fit I could, I had to retry it, yanking the seatbelt as hard as I could multiple times (so tight that in order to close the "door" of the seat on it, I had to push my knee down onto it and put all of my weight on it (like I really want grandma to have to do this kind of acrobatics in her car). I was able (after all this) to get a snug enough (still able to wiggle the seat within the inches Britax says is ok) in my car and my sitters car, so I went ahead and purchased them for the grandparents just hoping installation would be easy (installation worked, it just took my mother much too long and the complaint email she sent me afterward was long!). On the bright side, the kids LOVE the new seats and I love that there's finally more harness to hold them now that they're bigger (the boulevards were getting a bit too tight to get on, which is why I switched--and my kids are only about 40 lbs). My logic in keeping all the seats and not turning to another brand was that I could get a snug enough fit (with a lot of elbow grease, that I did not expect to use for a Britax seat), the kids love sitting in the seats, even though they feel different to sit on than their old Britax seats. And returning a carseat is a major pain. My mother was able to get a snug enough fit in her car, so we're all set for now (though she's concerned she won't be able to get one of the seats out of her car because of how hard hers is to open back up--I have more faith than she does that it WILL open, but it takes a lot of work to get it right. I'm sure with practice, taking the seats in and out of our cars will get easier, but it's definitely not as easy or as snug as Britax earlier models that we're used to. I do love the customer service response time at Britax and when there's been a recall issue with our earlier seats, they were quick to send instructions to fix them--so I have confidence in the company supporting whatever I need as the years go on. Perhaps I got a few dud seats with this door opening problem--but a "few" seems like a lot for an actual mistake and I think Britax just isn't making these seats as easy to use as their older ones. Oh! Also, the button to press to tighten the strap on the harness is hidden and isn't an actually button, it's a flap of metal--I'm sure they hid it away because older kids can start to play with the button on the other seats where it was exposed, but the flap of metal you press is hard to find and feels flimsy compared to the button on the seats for younger kids. Anyway, I love the company, I'm not so thrilled with these seats compared to their seats for younger kids--the ease of use has gone down. But the seats are snug enough and my kids are happy, so job done.

Comfy, cool color, just as easy to install as the boulevard though slightly different. Seems roomy for my 4yo and huge cupholders.
I feel like it's a little harder for me to get it tight enough compared to the boulevard.

We love all britax seats! We upgraded to a boster seat since my kiddo is now 6 yo and the old seat is getting to small for here.
Its very easy to install and seams very comfortable for her.

Easy to install and super comfy for my 3 year old. Will be the seat that we buy for her little brother when he needs a bigger one.

Installed this in a Honda Accord side rear passenger seat. This replaced a Chicco NextFit that was involved in an accident. Our 50 pound 6 year old still fits in the weight and height limit for a 5-point harness but we wanted something that could grow with him. The ability to turn this into a high back booster is great. The seat is well padded and rated as comfy by our 6 year old. He is able to buckle himself in (years of car seat experience) chest clip and lower buckle. He tightens it and parent does a check and tightens. This car seat booster combo should last until he is ready to transition to a backless booster or the seat & belt combination of the car itself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bueno, pero no adecuado para niños con discapacidad

Reviewed in Mexico 🇲🇽 on January 30, 2022
