Existing Basic Area (EB) and Enhanced Area (EA) Technician Licenses that expire on or after August 1, 2012, will not be renewed. Instead, you must choose to renew as a licensed Smog check Inspector (EO), a licensed Smog Check Repair Technician (EI) or both. The license renewal form will provide the option for you to choose one or both of these new license classifications. For more information or questions about the Smog Check Inspector and Repair Technician licenses and renewal requirements, refer to Smog Check website at www.smogcheck.ca.gov. NOTE: BAR is now accepting individual taxpayer identification numbers (ITINs) for an individual applicant that does NOT have a social security number (SSN). BAR Licensing Mailing AddressP.O.
