What type of visa do I need to attend a conference in UK?

If they're just coming to attend your conference, it's likely they'll need a Standard Visitor Visa (Business route). NOTE: The full guidance doesn't specify the business route, but that's the correct route to take. A normal route Standard Visitor Visa (ie a tourist visa) shouldn't be used.

How do I apply for a UK conference visa?

You must apply for a Standard Visitor visa online before you travel to the UK. A Standard Visitor visa costs £100 for up to 6 months. The earliest you can apply is 3 months before you travel. If you visit the UK regularly, you can choose to apply for a long-term Standard Visitor visa instead.
