How do I check my drivers license status in Florida?

If you renewed online but have not received your new license yet, use the state's online status check website (mydmvportal.flhsmv.gov/home/en/publicweb/dlcheck) to see if/when your license was mailed. If you ordered online, it takes a minimum of 7 to 10 business days to receive – that's a full two weeks.

How do I find out if my Florida driver's license is suspended?

In order to check your license status, all you need to do is go to the driver's license check webpage provided by the FLHSMV. From there, you will need to enter your driver's license number. If the results page reads, “valid,” your driver's license is not suspended and you maintain the right to drive.

Are Florida driver's licenses public record?

Under Florida law, motor vehicle, driver license and vehicular crash record information are public information. The Driver Privacy Protection Act, 18 United States Code, Section 2721, keeps your personal information private by limiting those who can have it.

Why is my license suspended Florida?

For a license to get suspended, it requires 12 or more points on the driving record in a year. The license will be suspended for 30 days if the driver accumulates 12 points, 3 months if it is 18 points in a year and a half, one year for 24 points in 3 years.
