No writing or scribbles inside, book is very clean. Text block is clean and unmarked. No dog-eared pages or tears. Jacket is not price-clipped. This is the true first state jacket, with all first points, including The Guardian quote on the rear panel. No discolouration. A very collectable copy of this increasingly hard-to-find title.

Tight and unmarked with crisp pages and sharp points, just a hint of a nudge to spine ends. The first printing DJ has a $16.95 price, the yellow bar code field with two bar codes, and the smaller code says 51695. The DJ back has a single quote from the Guardian saying, "Harry Potter could assume the near-legendary status of Roald Dahl's Charlie, of chocolate factory fame." The top spine of the DJ states J. K. Rowling and lacks the Year 1 badge. The DJ in mylar would be fine but for the dampstained heel, which is really only visible on the verso. ; 1; 9.3 X 6.4 X 1.2 inches.
