Hot water recirculating system for tankless water heater

The Problem:
How long do you wait for hot water when you turn on the faucet? 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 or 3 minutes, longer? While you wait, a home with 5 taps can waste up to 15,000 gallons of tempered water down the drain. You pay for this potable water, wasted energy and sewage fees.

The Benefits of a Hot Water Recirculation System

• Save Time, No More Waiting For Hot Water

Aquamotion Pump Selection Chart:

Our most powerful, high speed, ultra-quiet hot water circulation pump is installed on the hot water outlet of a tank-less water heater. An Advanced flow Bridge Valve connects the hot and cold water supply lines under the most remote kitchen or bath fixture in the house.

When the integrated Flow Manager detects hot water use anywhere in the house, it turns on the hot water pump ( just open hot water faucet and then close again). The cool water that normally would go down the drain is circulated back to the water heater through the cold water line.

The Bridge Valve has a built-in temperature sensor that closes when hot water reaches the farthest sink. Unless a hot water faucet is on the Water Monitor will turn off the pump because hot water is everywhere you need it!

Advanced Bridge Valve

The WQT Waterquick Tankless model is shipped with the  Advanced Bridge Valve, this allows as much as 30% more water flow so the cool water in the hot line can be moved back to the water heater faster. This advanced bridge valve is required to keep a tankless water heater running.

Will a recirculating pump work with a tankless water heater?

Some tankless water heater models come with a recirculation pump, while others do not, mostly to reduce the cost of tankless water heaters for consumers. While they will work without one, purchasing a tankless water heater with an integrated recirculation pump is always recommended first.

Are hot water recirculation pumps worth it?

With the average national cost of water rising rapidly, a hot water recirculation pump could easily save you upwards of $50 each year. Since these pumps cost between $200 and $250 each, you could pay back the investment within a couple of years.

What is tankless recirculation?

Tankless Keeps Hot Water Recirculating It does this by recirculating the water through your plumbing system, so hot water is always available in whatever part of the house that you may need it.
