How to set or update your password recovery options

mail.com asks you to provide a cell phone number and secondary email address so that we can contact you quickly and securely for password reset. This is why it’s important to provide us with correct and up-to-date contact information. You can update this information in your mail.com account by clicking > Security Options in the left navigation menu.

How to stay logged in to your account

If you don’t want to enter your password every time you check your emails, you can stay logged in to all your email accounts with our MailCheck browser add-on. On your mobile device, you can enjoy the convenience of our Mail app to stay logged into your email. To be on the safe side, you should only stay logged in if no one else has access to your computer.

How to change your password

To change your email password, go to the Home page of your inbox and click > Security Options in the left navigation menu. Then select > Change password and enter your current password and new password and retype your new password. Click > Save changes to complete the process. And now don’t forget to enter the new password in your saved logins as well!

How to display your password in your browser

If you have saved your mail.com login in your internet browser, whenever you reset your email password you will need to change your saved login as well. View saved passwords in Firefox

1. Click the menu icon in the upper right corner.
2. Click Options.
3. Click Privacy & Security and scroll down to Logins and Passwords.
4. Click Saved Logins...

   The Firefox password manager opens in a new tab.

5. If you need to narrow down the list, enter mail.com in the search field.
6. In the list on the right, click the appropriate entry.
7. Click the eye icon.

3. To narrow down the list, enter mail.com in the search field. Check the box next to Show passwords for selected websites. Enter your Mac user password and confirm by clicking OK.
