Do you have to defrost fish cakes before cooking?

Once solid, transfer the fishcakes to resealable containers and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw the fishcakes overnight in the fridge before cooking and make sure that they are piping hot all the way through before serving.

How long do you cook fish cakes from frozen?

20 mins. Oven cook from frozen. 200°C.

Can you cook frozen fish cakes from frozen?

Defrost frozen fish cakes overnight in fridge and cook as above. Alternatively, to cook straight from frozen, heat grill to medium, oil fish cakes as per recipe then grill 12-15 mins one side to brown, before flipping and grilling the other side for 5 mins more.

Can you pan fry frozen fish cakes?

Add frozen Fish Cakes to pan. Cook over high heat for 5 minutes. Using a spatula, turn Fish Cakes over and reduce heat to medium. Continue to cook until Fish Cakes are heated through – approximately 4 to 5 minutes.
