How to reset hp deskjet 2600 printer to factory settings

Breathe now, if you’ve just typed “how to factory reset HP printer without screen” in your browser. I’ll walk you through the detailed process for various printer models.

Interestingly, HP printers don’t have a specific reset button as you’d expect on other devices such as your router.

However, I’ve realized it’s pretty simple to reset these printers through my years of servicing office equipment.

In general, here’s how to reset HP printer without screen:

Turn off your printer, then carefully unplug and reconnect the power cable after 1 minute. Long-press the “Power” and “Resume” buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. Release them when the attention light comes on. For WiFi reset, long-press the “Wireless” and “Cancel” buttons for 5 seconds.

Note: Restoring the printer to factory default settings doesn’t affect options like the page count, tray size, and selected language.

Now that you’ve got a nice hint of what we’ll be doing, let’s get into the real thing.

To be blunt, an HP printer without a touchscreen or any sizable screen still has a small LCD display. However, the display only shows you basic stuff.

You need to press and hold some buttons at the same time. You’ll also know the printer is reset according to how the lights flash.
