Undo your battery for a couple of minutes. This worked on the older models. I believe this is the procedure for yours.

Turn the ignition key to 'ON' and press the odometer button until the display reads ODO (not Trip A or B).

Turn the ignition key to OFF.

Hold in the same button you used in step 1.

While holding the button in, turn the ignition key to ON.

The ODOMETER will change to:

5 dashes - - - - -

Then 4 dashes - - - -

Then 3 dashes - - -

Then 2 dashes - -

Then 1 dash -

THEN all zeros 0 0 0 0 0

Then back to the correct mileage.

Then the Maintenance Required light should blink and go out.

How To Reset Maintenance Required Light In 2003-2007 Toyota Corolla After Oil Change

How to turn off maintenance light on toyota corolla 2007

This article shows you the steps for resetting the maintenance required light on the dashboard of Toyota Corolla. The procedure is same for Ninth generation Toyota Corolla (2003 – 2007).

The Toyota Corolla’s ‘maint reqd’ light simply means a service interval has been met. And this means engine oil is due for change. It comes on 5,000 miles after the last time it was reset.

This light comes on strictly as a function of those miles; it has no way of knowing whether your oil has or hasn’t been changed in the interim, and it never, ever is an indication of something being wrong. So your heart doesn’t skip a bit whenever it pops up on your dashboard.

The 2007 Toyota Corolla features a "maintenance required" light that comes on when it is time to change the oil and filter. The light trips based on miles driven since it was last reset. If you change your own oil, or if the service mechanic forgets to reset the light, you will need to reset it yourself. This is a simple task that most drivers should be able to accomplish in about five minutes.

Step 1

Insert the key into the ignition and turn it forward to the "on" position, which is one click before the ignition cranks the engine.

Step 2

Locate the trip selector button on the instrument panel. Press it until the display reads "ODO."

Step 3

Press and hold the trip selector button.

Step 4

Turn the ignition off without removing the key. Turn the key back to the "on" position while continuing to hold in the trip selector button.

Step 5

Wait for the odometer to cycle through. It will display a series of zeros, then a series of dashes. As it cycles, the line of dashes will become shorter and disappear. When there are no more dashes, release the trip selector button. The "maintenance required" light will go out.

Step 6

Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
