Magic the gathering zendikar rising collector booster box

Zendikar Rising Set Booster Box

Magic: The Gathering Zendikar Rising Set Booster Box Display

Elke Zendikar Rising Set Booster Box Display bevat 30 Magic: The Gathering Zendikar Rising Draft boosters.
1 Zendikar Rising Draft Booster bevat:
12 Zendikar Rising kaarten
1 Zendikar Rising Art kaart
1 Zendikar Rising Token OF speciale kaart van "The List".

Een Zendikar Rising Set Booster is meer gericht op het uitbreiden van een verzameling waardoor je in een Set Booster minder van dezelfde bulk commons zal vinden en meer rares, foils en speciale kaarten.

Inclusief boxtopper!

Set boosters are the go-to for players who love to open boosters just for the fun of seeing what they'll get. Just like Collector Boosters are for collecting and Draft Boosters are for drafting, Set Boosters are for opening packs to see what's inside.

At least one foil in every pack. These can be any rarity, so this is one of several places where players can get a rare or mythic rare in a single Set Booster.

Chance of multiple rares. Between wildcard slots, the rare slot, and the foil slot, there a several ways to get more than one rare in a Set Booster.

Chance at The List. 25% of the time, instead of an ad or token card, Set Boosters contain a card from The List—interesting cards from anywhere in Magic’s history, printed as they appeared (including art, frame, and expansion symbol) plus a small Planeswalker symbol in their lower-left corner.

The box was stripped of the actual Collector boosters and box toppers. The contents were replaced with random land packs and one Zendkar rising draft pack. This was clearly returned previously and Amazon just wrapped it back up and sent it out again with even checking it properly.

I'm a bit conflicted in writing such a highly regarded review for this product, considering it has been quite some time since I've paid and opened my own boxes of this very product, but here goes...

In a tragic sense of "you had to be there", there was a time when the price for these things were not as high as they are now. There is a chance that it could go back down, but I highly doubt that they'll ever go back to the prices I remember giving them a chance. Given the nature of how these products go, once they're gone, they're gone. As a frugal Magic player, I often resort to buying singles after a righteous grace period of time when certain cards lose their flair, desire, and often, pick up the pieces for most cards that are not in favor due to other chase cards which people are fanatically pursuing and cracking packs, these days, from these very Collector's boosters as we speak. This was one of the few Collector's I actually participated in, not just once, but twice. Double dipping was one of the best things I could remember with this product, for one important reason: Lands.

If you are in the actual practice of playing Magic, then you know lands are the staple resource in order to actually play the game. Lands NEVER go out of style, and the more potent lands you have at your disposal, the more dynamic, flexible and efficient your decks will become and perform. This is a constant across every format in Magic. Why this particular product was so valuable, in my opinion, was because of the TWO guaranteed Expedition lands that came in every box. EVERY. BOX. If you were fortunate enough, those two lands alone could essentially pay for the actual cost of what the entire collector's box was worth at the time they were released, and that's before actually digging into the actual contents buried in those boosters!

Around the time I decided to give these Collector's a try, they came down to about $180 each. If they were ever any lower than that, I never saw or caught wind of prices like that. But the entire experience, from what I remember, was amazing. It was hands down one of the greatest pack cracking experiences I've had in many years of enjoying Magic, and I've since found it very difficult to even justify wanting any other product like it since. Sometimes you don't come out on top with the box toppers, but again, you still have all 12 actual packs to open and you'll still get your value's worth. Zendikar Rising was a homerun of a set, and the Collector's edition of it was what I might recall as a masterpiece of how to push a highly desired product that people actually enjoy opening, for collecting, for lottery chasing, for card chasing; a product that supplemented into so many playable formats that people already enjoy with game pieces that just added so much for whatever strategy people were looking to build or diversify into.

It really is a shame to see this product as expensive as it is now, but honestly, I'm even more surprised that it's not higher at this point. If I wasn't so eager to open the ones I had, I should have held onto at least one. Or better yet, have bought one more and just sat on it for the purpose of seeing how much higher, and desired, this product becomes years down the road. I'm not saying it's an investment plan, but much like many desired things in Magic, over time, nostalgia ages the product like a fine wine, and this one will be an extraordinary vintage in what feels like a not too distant future. Unless something like a secret reserve of this product is unleashed to the masses to drive its price back down, Zendikar Rising: Collector's will remain one of the most important examples of how a well done Collector's looked, and felt like.

If I could go back and do it all over again, you bet I would. I just can't justify doing it at the prices being asked for them now. But at the time? More than worth it.

I had purchased a few of these thru LGS and once prior with Amazon. Each time the products were good, and worth the ~$200 per box at release pricing.

I recently decided to buy 2 cases to collect them and keep them sealed, so when Amazon lowered the prices to around $180, I took the plunge.

However instead of shipping them in original case sealed boxes (they come in 6 per large outer case box ) , I received loose and tightly packed amazon package. What was immediately weird was when I noticed several of the boxes had extremely loose and wrinkled shirnkwrap... See pics.

I think some of these were previously packed and resealed so I sent them back. I would not recommend large purchases for those seeking to keep a case for their collection, as Amazon appears to send them in singles. Buying one box or two and check carefully for the outer shrink wrap each time.

I'm sure Amazon is not the culprit but you cannot rule out the tempering somewhere when the shrinkwrap looks so suspicious.

I give the product 3 stars regardless. As a non-temoered box does give you a chance for fetchland loot, and you also will get around 7-9 mythics, of which some are still worth something. It's really all down to the loot box for fetchland inserts though.

Most of the Return money is in Fetch Lands or Modal Lands... especially non-standard frame cards.

I bought these just to get the fetch lands from the Expeditions. Averaged about 1 per box (got 4 boxes, one box had 3 fetches however).

Buying Loose packs is a gamble, buying the boxes is more 'reliable' on getting good return in value functionally. But don't buy this product if you're looking to make good margins of cash. You'd need to hold these for a minimum of 3 years for the price tags to be high enough to make margins worth bragging about.

To be clear - this box is expensive. Do not purchase this product unless you are ok with not making your money back as there is certainly plenty of evidence that you won't.

That being said, my box arrived in great condition and was not tampered with. I got amazing pulls- 4 fetch lands and 7 other mythic rares which is a bit crazy. Made my money back and then some. I'm a collector more than a player and it was fun seeing all the great art and foils in these packs. For me it was worth it, but you have to decide for yourself and understand what you're rolling the dice on.

Got only one foil expedition in the twelve packs. None of the three expeditions - one foil, two non-foil regular - are fetch lands. Even at the price tag of $161 I was not able to break even.

For newbies: the fetch lands are almost the only reason people buy this Collector Booster box. There are ten fetch lands out of thirty expedition lands, with collector numbers 01/30 to 10/30. They worth approximately $40 to $70 as of today.

I guess I am not on the good luck side this time.

Good value for your money. Plenty of good cards to play with. Comes with 2 box topper packs inside. For $225 after tax is a decent. Any higher and it may not be worth it.

Lol worth it if you get good pulls.. However just buy the cards you want individually its cheaper;)

The value in these is really really good. With the box toppers, you're likely to get between 4-6 Zendikar Rising Expedition cards. I pulled a foil Flooded Strand, and foil Cavern of Souls. Two box toppers were both fetch lands, as well. Those four cards alone are valued higher than what I paid for the entire box.

5.0 out of 5 stars Display mit Chance auf Fetch-Länder oder Cavern of Souls

Reviewed in Germany 🇩🇪 on May 2, 2021

1.0 out of 5 stars No incluia los 2 los box topper

This product is a hit or miss.
At ~$240 Zendikar Rising CE is great value but too often the boxes came with tampering or damaged/bended topper.
Wished Amazon could do something more about their quality control.
