I’m not sure which model number I have, but I was watching Netflix one minute and the next the loading screen came up and stuck on 20% buffering. I exited out and since then, was not able to connect to anything. Can’t connect to anything, be it Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, etc. I have tested my connection and all is well. Everything else in the household connects fine. I reset the tv to factory and still the issue remains. Any ideas?

EDIT: after allowing the tv to sit for around 30 minutes, suddenly the apps started working again and I was able to watch Netflix again. Very odd.

I've had the same issue a few times over the years, but with a wifi router. The only way I was able to get it to work was by performing a factory reset to the TV.

Do yourself a favor and return the TV while you can. I wish I got a sign like this while I still had the chance to return mine. I have 2 Vizio's with SmartCast (2017 P65 & 2018 M55). They started out with a few minor glitches and then each update/year they get more and more unstable and slow. I have so many hours of troubleshooting and factory resets it's not even funny. They work right about 40% of the time and together they have probably had close to 40 factory resets.

The dev/software engineers at Vizio really are the worst in the business, at least in the last few years. My TV's get slower and more broken the more Vizio tweaks the firmware and the more Ads they shove down our throat. Anyways, don't just take my word for it, there are so many posts here on Reddit and on the home theater forums with plenty of hate-my-Vizio complaints. Good luck

So, I've had a smart tv for my girls to use that is mainly used for just Netflix/Hulu. We have it wirelessly connected to the Netgear Modem/Router that I have which is <20 feet away (with the doors open, there isn't even a wall to interfere with the signal). Well, all of a sudden yesterday there is no wifi connection at all. I went to check the connection on the TV, and when I look at the list of available networks, there are none. I've tried resetting the TV and router/modem to power cycle them, and I've even factory reset the TV. I've got nothing. Is there any other option, or has the wireless antennae on the TV gone bad?

I have a model from about 3 years ago. Recently my TV has been virtually useless. It would freeze in the menu mode, become unresponsive, sound cutting out. I finally had enough of constantly unplugging the cord. I contacted their support today and they told me there's a known Smartcast issue they're working on and basically I was told there's nothing really we as viewers can do about it.

The CSR I spoke with said a factory reset is a temporary fix.

You can also try doing a power cycle with unplugging the TV and holding the power button the TV for 10 seconds (if your model has one).

Basically we're SOL until they fix SmartCast. I am super unpleased and likely won't ever get another Vizio because of this.

Why won't my Vizio TV connect to Wi

Press the Menu button on the Vizio remote, then select Network > Manual Setup > DHCP. If DHCP is set to OFF, press the right arrow to turn it on. If it is set to ON, press the right arrow once to turn it off, and then again to turn it on. Power cycle the router, modem, and TV.

Why won't my TV connect to the Wi

Restart Your TV The easiest one-size-fits-all troubleshooting step is to restart the device you're having issues with, and the same goes for your smart TV. Turn the TV off, unplug it from the wall, and wait for at least 30 seconds before connecting the plug back into the wall.

What does it mean when TV says Wi

Your router may be causing the problem. Restarting the router works in these scenarios. It will refresh your connection with the line and start working normally. But if it doesn't, check if you still have a running data bundle.
