Michigan professional engineers who have held a license between 12-24 months are required to complete 15 PDH for their first renewal. Michigan professional engineers who have held a license for more than 24 months are required to complete 30 PDH every two years. Michigan professional engineer licenses are renewed every even year on October 31.

Minnesota Professional Engineers

Minnesota professional engineers are required to complete 24 PDH every two years. 2 PDH must be on the topic of engineering ethics. Minnesota professional engineer licenses are renewed every even year on June 30.

Mississippi Professional Engineers

Mississippi professional engineers are required to complete 15 PDH every year. 1 PDH must be on ethics training every two years. Mississippi professional engineer licenses are renewed every year on December 31.

Missouri Professional Engineers

Missouri engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year by December 31st.

A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.

Montana Professional Engineers

Montana engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year by June 30 of even-numbered years.

A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.

Nebraska Professional Engineers

Nebraska engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year by January 1st.

A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.

Nevada Professional Engineers

Nevada engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year.  The deadline is January 1 or July 1, depending on your last name.

A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.

New Hampshire Professional Engineers

New Hampshire engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year based on your month of birth and year of initial licensure.

A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.

New Jersey Professional Engineers

New Jersey professional engineers are required to complete 24 PDH every two years. 2 PDH must focus on the topic of professional ethics. New Jersey professional engineer licenses are renewed every two years.

New Mexico Professional Engineers

New Mexico engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year by December 31st. At least 2 PDH must be ethics/business related.

A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.

New York Professional Engineers

New York Professional Engineers are required to complete 36 hours of continuing education every 3 years. Of the 36 hours, 18 must provide for direct interaction with an instructor. The remaining 18 hours can be obtained through educational activities from a board approved sponsor. One PDH must be on the topic of engineering ethics.

North Carolina Professional Engineers

North Carolina professional engineers are required to complete 15 PDH every year. North Carolina professional engineer licenses are renewed annually on December 31.

North Dakota Professional Engineers

North Dakota engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year by December 30th.

A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.

Ohio Professional Engineers

Ohio engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year by December 31 in odd years.

Board policy only allows for a maximum of three (3) hours continuing professional development per year for the completion of correspondence courses (paper, online, or other formats) provided the course and the course provider meet the requirements.

Oklahoma Professional Engineers

Oklahoma professional engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year.

A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.

Oregon Professional Engineers

Oregon professional engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year.

Pennsylvania engineers are required to complete 24 PDH every other year by September of odd years.

Rhode Island Professional Engineers

Rhode Island professional engineers are not required to complete PDH. Rhode Island professional engineer licenses are renewed every year on June 30.

South Carolina Professional Engineers

South Carolina engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year by June 30th of even years.

South Dakota engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every other year.

Tennessee Professional Engineers

Tennessee engineers are required to complete 24 PDH every other year. 13 PDH must address health, safety and welfare issues and technical competency.

A maximum of 12 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.

Texas Professional Engineers

Texas engineers are required to complete 15 PDH every year, including 1 PDH of ethics.
