If an applicant does not receive their new permanent driver's license or state ID after 15 business days of visiting a facility, they can check the status online or call 217-782-7044.

Do seniors have to wait in line at the DMV in Illinois?

As a result, drivers age 75 and older with a 2020 driver's license expiration date do not need to visit a facility to renew their driver's license until shortly before their birthday in 2021. Also, please remember that those 65 and older get “priority” service and can go to the front of the line.
