I had read the entire series when I was younger and was fascinated by the stories of the greek gods. I would highly recommend because it is educational yet entertaining to the audience.

Awesome

Well personally I thought the movie was great. Their was some thematic language in the movie that’s why I’m rating it 12 and up.

You Got Framed!

I thought that this book was very unique and original. I like how the book deals with the gods and their half-blood kids. I like how the Percy and his friends go on many adventures and meet new people along the way. Percy founds out that Zeus' lightning bolt is stolen and he is put to blame. He was able to survive as a twelve year old and have fun the same time. This book is very interesting and knows how to tell a good story. I personally think the book is more detailed and better than the movie. I extremely recommend the book. The book is appropriate for ages nine and up because it is a very fun story to be told. I chose to rate this book four stars because it is entertaining and it leads you on wanting to read every chapter after a chapter.

Lightning in a bottle

This was the best book I have ever read, the minute I read the first chapter I was hooked. However, this book does have a little violence, (it isn't anything you can't handle.) I am a HUGE chicken when it comes to any scariness, and this book isn't scary at all. This book is so good it keep me turning pages at 1:45 in the morning.

SO BORING

This game is SO BORING. You do the same thing over and over again and annabeth isn't supposed to have brown hair! Read the books instead.

July 20, 2011

bad game. sorry.

i kind of liked the books, but sorry, this game is terrible. First of all, you do the same thing over and over again, and there were some characters that don't even exist! Do not waste your money with this game!

THE STRUGGLES

Percy is trying to go on a mission. He gets the mission with some friends and they go on this mission. On the way to the mission he has a few struggles and fears in his way. The struggles are kind of difficult, but he phases the struggles. When he is really close to the mission he has this huge struggle. He thinks he can't phase this struggle, but he keeps thinking about this struggle. When he is done thinking about this struggle. After he acts about the struggle. you should always think before you act and phase your struggles. If you never phase your struggles or fears they will haunt you for life.

It's a really good book. There are some references to blood and stuff, but I'd recommend it for tweens and teens.

Must Read

Move over Harry Potter. The Percy Jackson universe is the best youth series out there. There is violence, blood, and non-bloody death (monsters explode into duct), but nothing too gory.

Definitely a must-read!!!!!

I love this series!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!! Do not read past this point if you don't want the spoiler. This book is about a 10-year-old dyslexic, ADHD boy named, of course, Percy Jackson. One day he goes on vacation with his mom and then his world changes forever. He is recruited into Camp Half-Blood and he learns he is a demigod (half mortal, half Greek god) son of Poseidon. I'm not going to give any more spoilers, but just know this is an awesome book! Just make sure to remember that this is a work of fiction.

This is the best book ever

This book is amazing. For parents looking for a book for their kids, this is the one. One thing I have to say is that the violence in this over exaggerated. Some parts can get pretty tense but the worst that happens in this book is that Percy gets stung from a pit scorpion which poisons him but he get back to normal the next page. Personally, I have some friends with ADHD so I really loved it when that element came up in this book. It also it a mystery book too! The plot is that The Greek Gods had children with mortals- Demigods- and those demigods are the heroes that help stop major wars- or even create them. The demigods are said to be diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia because of their battle reflexes and their brain is hardwired to Ancient Greek. Overall, it's an amazing book with an engaging plot and storyline. Two huge thumbs up to the author, Rick Riodan

This is a wonderful book! I read it when I was ten, and I am still re-reading it! There is a lot of sword fighting violence, but it is a fairly easy read filled with hilarious comedy. Percy Jackson is a funny character, and his story is filled with adventure. Annabeth Chase is also a strong woman role model. I'm the only girl in my school who reads Rick Riordan, and more girls should. The last book in the series has a little romance, but the rest of the series is similar to this book, and you will not be disappointed!

I loved Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief!

i loved this! i would totally recommend it for kids 11+ up (because of violence)(and a crazy stepfather)

Can a 7 year old read Percy Jackson?

Common Sense Media (my go-to spot for judging what media is appropriate for what age of kids) rates the Percy Jackson books as for kids aged 9–10. I'd probably pull that down a year to ages 8–9, but either way much is lost in reading those books if you don't know the myths they are referencing.

Is Percy Jackson rated R?

Rating: PG for fantasy action violence, some scary images and mild language.

What age group is Percy Jackson movie for?

Age Appropriate For: 10+.
